No. Google Tasks shows due dates in Google Calendar, but nothing ever rings. ETasks adds real alarms to your Google Tasks using Apple's AlarmKit: alerts that ring like your morning alarm on iPhone and Apple Watch, with recurrence, postpone, and deadline warnings.

No. Stock Google Tasks has no arrive or leave alerts. ETasks adds location reminders on iPhone: attach a place to a task, get notified when you arrive (or leave if you enable Leaving notifications in Labs), and see open place-based tasks on Calendar Map. Enable Location notifications under Settings → Labs and grant Always location access so alerts can fire when the app is closed.

Location reminders use on-device geofences so ETasks can notify you when you arrive at or leave a place even if the app is closed. With While Using only, reminders will not fire in the background. Place metadata stays with the task; live location is used on your device for monitoring and is not sold or used for advertising. See the Privacy Policy.

No. On shared lists, location reminders stay personal to you, the same way time-based reminders, alarms, and attached files do. Collaborators do not see your places or receive your alerts.

Google doesn't make one. ETasks includes a full Apple Watch app: browse your Google Tasks lists, complete tasks from your wrist, and receive reminders and deadline warnings with haptics.

Google Tasks has no built-in sharing. ETasks adds shared lists with an anyone-with-the-link invite. Sharing runs over iCloud (CloudKit), so sharing a Google-connected list moves it off Google; from then on it syncs between members via iCloud. Collaborators need ETasks.

Google's own app has limited offline support. ETasks is offline-first: you can create, edit, and complete tasks with no connection, and changes queue up and sync with Google Tasks when you're back online.

Yes. Because ETasks writes to Google Tasks itself, tasks you create or complete in ETasks appear wherever Google shows Tasks (including Google Calendar and the Tasks panel in Gmail), and vice versa.

Yes. Send the invite link over any messenger; whoever opens it in ETasks joins the list. Everyone sees collaborator stamps showing who added what, while reminders, alarms, location reminders, and attached files stay personal to each member.

Yes. ETasks supports JSON backup and import for your task lists, handy before switching devices or as an extra safety copy. You can also disconnect from Google at any time and keep working locally.

Only the Google Tasks scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks), the same access Google's own Tasks app uses. ETasks never requests Gmail, Calendar, Drive, or Contacts, and you can revoke access anytime from your Google Account permissions page.
